This Privacy Policy describes how TableLore ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services.
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, save items to your Journal, or contact support. This includes your email address, account credentials, and content you create in the app (such as Journal entries, ratings, notes, and your Culinary Profile).
To provide our core functionality, TableLore requires access to your device's camera and photo library. When you scan a menu or wine list, the image is securely transmitted in transit to our enterprise AI provider (Google Cloud Vertex AI) for real-time text extraction and culinary analysis.
We do not store your images on our servers after the analysis is complete. Furthermore, because we use enterprise-grade AI services, your images and data are not used to train public AI foundation models.
TableLore offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we do not receive or store your full payment card details. We do receive transaction and subscription status (such as the plan you purchased and whether it is active) so we can provide the features tied to your membership.
To improve reliability and understand how features are used, we collect app usage data, device and diagnostic information, and crash reports through Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. This information is used to fix bugs, measure performance, and improve the app. We do not sell this information.
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit, Firebase Authentication, and Firestore security rules, to protect your data from unauthorized access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
You maintain full control over your data. You may delete your account and permanently remove all associated data at any time directly from the Profile section within the app.
TableLore is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the European Union). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing, under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can delete your data at any time from the Profile section in the app, or by contacting us at support@tablelore.app. We do not sell your personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of TableLore after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

By using TableLore, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
You agree to only upload images of restaurant menus, wine lists, or food-related items. You must not upload images containing personally identifiable information (PII), explicit content, or copyrighted material you do not have the right to process.
TableLore offers premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions ("Casual Diner" and "Epicurean"). Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
Because TableLore provides wine and alcohol pairing recommendations via the AI Sommelier, you must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction to use the alcohol-related features of this app.
TableLore is a culinary guide, not a medical or dietary authority. Any dietary flags, allergen warnings, or ingredient breakdowns provided by the app are estimates based on standard recipes generated by Artificial Intelligence. Users with ANY food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions must ALWAYS verify ingredients directly with restaurant staff. TableLore assumes no liability for allergic reactions, dietary distress, or health issues resulting from the use of our app.
TableLore uses Artificial Intelligence to generate culinary notes, recipes, and wine pairings. While we strive for high-quality output, the AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information (often referred to as "hallucinations"). You should not rely solely on this information for critical decisions. Always consult the wait staff or chef to confirm ingredients.
TableLore is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app or reliance on its contents.
TableLore requires an active internet connection to process images and generate AI culinary insights. You acknowledge that poor signal strength may result in delayed loading times or failed requests. TableLore is not liable for service interruptions or performance degradation caused by your network provider.
